The Vrije Universiteit Brussel’s European Research and Innovation Support team (ERIS) continued its work with the EUTOPIA_HEALTH Widening institutions by delivering a new EU funding workshop at Babeș-Bolyai University between 18 and 20 May 2026. Designed around VUB’s innovative i-ISO concept, the workshop offered researchers and research managers a hands-on space to explore how strong EU funding proposals are built. The workshop brought together selected researchers from UBB, who had the opportunity to work closely with the ERIS team and reflect on their own project ideas in a supportive and collaborative setting. Research managers trained last year within the EUTOPIA_HEALTH project were also invited to participate, bringing valuable experience from their roles in research support and contributing to the discussions with practical insights.
Following the workshop, participating researchers will continue to benefit from dedicated support over the next three years, helping them further develop their proposals and prepare future Horizon Europe applications. Through this initiative, EUTOPIA_HEALTH continues to invest in people, collaboration, and long-term capacity building across its Widening institutions.
